Robotic Software Development Scientist
The Advanced Remanufacturing & Technology Centre (ARTC) is a new initiative from the Agency for Science, Technology & Research (A*STAR), in collaboration with Nanyang Technological University (NTU), positioned as a centre of excellence in manufacturing and remanufacturing solutions, where candidate technologies are developed from feasibility to the threshold of production. This initiative is based on a contemporary model of cross-sectoral, collaborative and public-private partnership between A*STAR, NTU and industrial companies. Faculty postions in Health Systems & Behavioural Sciences
The National University of Singapore - which is the top ranked university in Asia - is recruiting full-time Assistant Professors, Associate Professors and Full Professors for the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health (SSHSPH). All positions are tenure-track (i.e. appointees are given fixed contracts for up to 7 years, with the goal of obtaining tenured appointments at the end of this period). In additional to an attractive salary and benefits package, new faculty members are eligible for a start-up grant to initiate their independent stream of research and subsidised university accommodation. The positions are specifically for faculty to work in the Health Systems & Behavioral Sciences Domain of SSHPH. GrabTaxi is an automated smartphone based booking and dispatch platform for the taxi industry in Singapore. GrabTaxi aims to introduce simple, cost effective mobile-based technology to both the supply (dispatch companies) and demand (passenger) sides of the distribution chain. With this technology, GrabTaxi hopes to optimize the matching process between taxi fleets and passengers. GrabTaxi aims to significantly improve the lives of both taxi drivers and passengers across Southeast Asia (Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam and Indonesia) through its innovative mobile taxi booking app. Job Description The position is part of the Risk Team which uses big data to make decisions on how to combat risks associated with Promotions, Incentives and Payments Fraud. By slicing data and observing trends, we then develop sophisticated heuristic rules or machine learning models to model fraudulent behaviour, and take action on the bad guys. This ensures that our business remains healthy and growth is organic, leading to a more sustainable business model.
